Welcome to the Colorado Society for Public Health Education!
The Colorado Society for Public Health Education (COSOPHE) has been a chapter of the national Society for Public Health Education since 1999. COSOPHE is a voluntary organization made up of 100 professional health educators and students who live in Colorado. The services & programs offered by COSOPHE are designed to enhance skills and improve knowledge as well as promote career development and networking.
Mission: COSOPHE is committed to excellence in health education by providing leadership to the profession, advancing health education, and advocating for public health policies.
Goals:
- To provide programs to increase member knowledge & skills
- To identify and influence priority health issues & policies
- To promote the profession of public health by increasing visibility & enhancing credibility
- To establish COSOPHE as a leading professional health education organization
- To increase COSOPHE membership
- To disseminate timely public health information
COSOPHE is 1 of 10 organizations participating in The Public Health Alliance of Colorado. The office is a groundbreaking collaboration to join forces to strengthen public health in Colorado.

COSOPHE is an affiliate organization of the Colorado Public Health Association and is proud to assist with planning the annual conference. COSOPHE Continuing Education Co-Chairs serve on the Planning Committee. There are discounted registration fees for COSOPHE members. Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) continuing education hours are offered.
